Day 29:

Mourning

Blue morn.
Boots squeak through dunes.
Puff out phantasmic plumes.
Jewels shimmer in dawn dipped tree tips.
Nya:weh.

ABOUT THIS POETRY FORM

A cinquain was created about 100 years ago by Adelide Crapsey. It's similar to a haiku.

It is a 5 line poem.
First line is 2 syllables.
Second line has 4 syllables.
Third line has 6 syllables
Fourth line has 8 syllables
Fifth line has just 2 syllables.
Rhymes: doesn't need to rhyme but can if you want.
Tell a small story, something happening, feelings, and a conclusion.

This was nice one to write. It's basically what I experienced outside this morning. I felt like that soft, cold, pre-sunrise blue. I turned around and behind me the tips of the trees were sparking in the warm, direct light of the sun that I was still too short to see.
