Edehkaˀ snohwe's.
Sǫhehkáˀ knohwe's.

ABOUT THIS POETRY FORM

A cywydd Deuair Fyrion (no idea how to pronounce) is Welsh. It is a couplet (2 line stanza).
A poem can be the couplet itself or a series of them.

It is a two line poem.
Each line has four syllables.
Rhymes: End line rhyme AA

It was so nice to only have to write two lines. But then I had to go and make it a little bit harder by deciding to try something in Cayuga language. It rhymes, yes. But does it actually make sense? It may not. What I mean for it to mean:

Edehkaˀ, snohwe's. (The day kind, you like)
Sǫhehkáˀ, knohwe's. (The night kind, I like)

The languages are hard in that they way we write them may not be what they actually mean. I have a feeling that I'd have to add something like 'things' in between the two words to make the sentences mean what I want them to mean. Oh well, I tried. Trying is better than not.
