Day 23
Sǫ:dęˀ
Sǫ:dęˀ I screamed,
White hot, silent.
Soft, violent,
Sǫ:dęˀ I screamed.
White hot, silent,
Gnarled up in night,
Heart breaking, bright,
White hot, silent.
Gnarled up in night
Sǫ:dęˀ I screamed
Straight into dreams,
Gnarled up in night.
Sǫ:dęˀ I screamed,
White hot, silent.
Soft, violent,
Sǫ:dęˀ I screamed.
ABOUT THIS POETRY FORM
It is a very repeat-y poem created by Robin Skelton.
Any length but written in quatrains (4 line stanzas)
There are no rules for syllables or meter.
Rhymes: ABbA - BCcB - CBdC - ABbA.
The first and last line of each quatrain is the same.
The second line of each quatrain is the first line of the next quatrain.
Final quatrain repeats the first quatrain word for word.
This poem took a long time to come around to. I kept over complicating it and realized that the shorter the lines, the easier it might be to construct. And I was right... this time.
