Smile, Sometimes, Dawnling, M General

Smile
Ma once told me, "just smile.
Over all else just keep grinning."
See? They hunger for our hurt,
Coming to consume, swallow us whole.
Offer them not your succulent sorrow.
Today, starve them with your smile.

Sometimes
Murder house murmurs and mulberry soles.
Old mansions. Cold monsters. Motherless nights,
Streetlights stream the screams I can't.
Cross the way, funerals play.
Only singing birds and stranger words
Tell me sometimes there is beauty.

Dawnling
Morning is sacred, that pre-dawn ywan
Of leather soft, sweet grass silence.
Scathing sun and old scortching screams
Can't char apart my heart... yet.
Only silence and lingering startlight sees
The un-stung, un-burnt, best of me.
